Welcome to MFK Culinary Studio – a unique space created for the busy executive, urban professional, or passionate home cook who finds joy in baking at home and hosting gatherings that delight guests. If you're someone who’s curious eager to learn the hows and whys behind great baking, this is your studio:

At MFK Culinary Studio, we offer an engaging and practical baking course designed specifically for both novice and experienced home bakers who are also working professionals. This course is not a diploma program but focuses on building essential baking skills that will elevate your home baking experience.

​Whether you're a beginner looking to master the basics or an experienced baker wanting to refine your techniques, our hands-on approach will provide you with the knowledge and confidence to create delicious baked goods. With flexible scheduling, you can balance your professional life while developing your passion for baking in a supportive and enjoyable environment.
About the Lecturer:
Our expert instructor 
Baker Joylene is a self-taught highly driven and has over two decades of experience in the industry as a baker, cake decorator and trainer.

She specializes in birthday cakes, wedding cakes and creating recipes and pairing flavours to give our customers the best cake experience.  You are in very good hands as she guides you step-by-step through each baking class and course that she handles.

Our Story
We introduced new cooking class dates in February 2023, followed by five-weekly cooking course schedules starting in March 2023. Customers have the flexibility to mix and match the modules to suit their individual schedules.

In February 2024, the studio released its annual culinary school calendar.

Our kitchen accommodates up to ten participants, and during our sessions, you'll have the opportunity to sample our signature MFK curry puffs. We are conveniently located just a ten-minute drive from the city, along the Spar Highway stretch near the senior stop.  Enjoy the breathtaking views and the refreshing ambiance of our MFK eco-gardens while you cook to your heart's content.

The best cook usually assumes leadership of a team, and even then, they know their success is dependent on the people working alongside them.  They must trust their teammates to accomplish the tasks they assign them, and their teammates must learn how to take direction and even ask for help!

Option #1:  FORM YOUR OWN CLASS
  1. Gather your own group of ten friends, bridal parties or work-colleagues or your formal corporate bonding programmes or your spouse, one month before the scheduled date;
  2. Form your own class, select a date that works for the team, book with us, and;
  3. Complete your payment two weeks before the class start date.
  4. Your booking date is confirmed on payment.

Option #2:  SELECT FROM PRE-SET DATES
  1. Select from pre-set dates set by the culinary education team.
  2. Visit our premises and observe us in operation.
  3. Complete your payment two weeks before the class start date.
  4. Your booking for our programmes is confirmed on payment.
  5. You will join others who have selected the same date as you.  In the event of sessions that do not make up ten participants, the MFK office will reach you for the next available date for the module.

PER PARTICIPANT FOUR CLASSES:

  • Payments to be paid in full and completed five days before start of the class.
  • My Farmhouse Kitchens will NOT collect payments in the form of cheques at any time.
  • Clients are responsible to make near or exact cash available by the time of the final payment.
