MODULE 11: ON THE tropical SPICE food TRAIL
Wandering through the garden opens the eye and a real education on the plants and spices (so peaceful and beautiful) that we use on the course. The cooking class with Chef Austin is amazing. He is so patient and walks you through the recipes step by step, checking that your food is going well and that it is to your taste. Finish the course with a walk through the gift shop bulging with all sorts of spices and gifts to bring home.

Tortilla
This homemade flour tortilla recipe produces warm and soft tortillas perfect to eat the tortilla with butter! It's so good, you just heat up the tortilla and then spread butter all over one side of the tort and then roll it up it's so good! Great to also wipe up any sauce left over from a satisfying meal. |

Puerto Rico Flan de Queso (Cheese Flan)
Flan is a traditional Puerto Rican dessert that is creamy, like a custard or cheesecake, and covered in a home-made caramel sauce. Though vanilla is the original flavor, you can also find flans in chocolate, coconut and Nutella. It's also delicious when topped with fresh fruit and cream. |
