Careers
A job at Pinnacle Foods, is ultimately a career made by you, with development opportunities, benefits and a strong working culture that embraces determination, hard work and creativity.

So whether you’re looking for an internship, graduate opportunities, or a job opening to progress your professional career, at Pinnacle Foods you can shape your own path as you work with the brand and people that drive our business growth.

Read the following carefully, before approaching us for a job position with My Farmhouse Kitchens.  When you are ready, review our Job Agreement document here, print your copy and bring it to us with your readiness to work as a team with everyone.  That is not conventional.  We know.  Nothing about us is.  We do not pamper our staff.  We share the risks together.  If you are prepared to do this, then we know you are ready for us.

ENTRY POINT TO MY FARMHOUSE KITCHENS

THERE IS ONLY ONE DOOR IN - DIRECT SELLING
The salary at which one enters our organization is not based on your past performance or your CV's and references you bring with your application.    The way we determine the post and the amount you would be enjoying would be based on how well you perform on doing direct selling in the first six months of your career with us.  This is considered the internship (probation period for those with more than 10 years working experience) period for the candidate with our organization.  Employment of personnel in Pinnacle Foods is predominantly from persons who have interned with the organization for a minimum period of 12 months and have shown a good fit.

The above is regardless of all eventual positions you are either assigned to or have applied for (including production, and operations) and not limited to the business development unit.  The better you do on-the-job the better would be the remuneration you will enjoy when you are in-stated on the job.

This will also allow:
  1. You to determine if you have the capacity to do the job with us and that it is commensurate with the remuneration that you want to enjoy.
  2. It will also allow us to test if your performance and demeanour is consistent with our corporate values.

Candidates who do not do well on this first job with us has either the option to request a further period of trial of six months on the task or choose to leave the organization.

We do however, accept situations where you have had acted as our
MFK Ambassador and had enjoyed stints and payments on the task and therefore convert the commensurate period of commitment on the task in lieu of the corresponding period of the probation period.

On satisfactory completion of this position, you will then be presented with an appointment letter and enter into a contractual arrangement with the organization as per the attached here below.

MFK does not enter into any tender positions with government.  We are not an FDI (Foreign Direct Investor).  We are a fully home-grown enterprise, from concept, vision, brand, work and office processes and our products and services.  It came alive with the owner's initial start-up capital, and has grown as the customers grew with us.  We have not grown using bank loans and certainly not on government support.  Those do not define the spirit of this corporate.

As such, do not consider harbouring ideas that you will enter into partnerships with entities that you may enjoy as a local with our company.  Such a position does not exist with us.  Our clients are exclusively the private sector per se.  That is where you would prove your mettle with us and long-term growth.

GET TO KNOW US

What's Inspiration?
It’s our mission and it starts with the people working here.  Pinnacle Foods members inspire.  They make inspiring humanity happen, a single action at a time.  It is easy to reach out and work government tenders here in Africa but we have decided to take that extra mile to grow and work with the private sector to a point of exclusion as it represents the ultimate lifeblood and growth of any economy.  It is not easy to do so, and does not rely on incentives but hard work to grow.  However, the earlier we can learn to make it work here the sooner we can make it work anywhere else in the world.  How is that for inspiration?

Our Values
Before we began, we had values to guide us. They shape our culture and they’re how we inspire.  Our values of Focus on the Vision, Determination, Integrity, Passion, Hard Work and Fun drive our work and the decisions that we make every day.  "Our values are ingrained in us from day one at orientation and what I love about our values is the ownership piece.  Everyone brings these values to life in their own unique way but we’re all in this together.”

Business Casual
At Pinnacle Foods, we believe our real value is in what we give back – not a title, an office or a paycheck.  Everyone matters and everyone is a part of the team.  Our culture and leaders are real, friendly and down to earth. If you work at Pinnacle Foods, you’ll notice this spirit of openness at all levels of the company.

Lifting Each Other
Walt Disney famously said, “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible,” and here at My Farmhouse Kitchens, we agree.  When members go the extra mile to live our values, we like to celebrate and reward great work.

Diversity
At Pinnacle Foods, diversity isn’t just skin-deep.  Integrity is one of our values, and we embrace diversity of thought, diversity of background, different ages and abilities, and different approaches.  Embracing this kind of diversity means really being able to appreciate, respect and value members’ points of view across the spectrum. Yes, My Farmhouse Kitchens is a proud, equal opportunity employer—and we think it’s more fun that way, too.

Customer Love
We could talk about how caring, fun, passionate, nice and smart our members are–but we like to show it instead.

Community Connection
Pinnacle Foods is full of passionate people who want to make a difference in the world.  Through our Community Connection volunteer program, we help members connect with meaningful opportunities to inspire something special in their own backyards.

What is Leadership?
It’s how all Pinnacle Foods members inspire others–in the board room, at our client events, and everywhere in between.  We embrace five key principles of leadership to empower all members to make a difference by positively influencing others where they are. Our Principles of Leadership are 1) Treat people right  2) Do the right thing  3) Communicate with your team  4) Show initiative and innovation, and  5) Inspire greatness in others.

Sustainability
Being ‘green’ saves bucks. By using less fuel and recycling much of our waste, we cut costs. Keeping oceans and communities clean boosts tourism, increasing our customer base.  On any given day, members are working to translate our sustainability ideals into our operations and decisions. We know that environmental responsibility cannot be a side consideration – it requires full-time dedication, and we have multiple members focusing specifically on these issues.

CAREERS AT PINNACLE FOODS

All staff will on enrollment be placed on training and probation for six months.  You will continue to be paid on performance-based remuneration.  You will be confirmed, based on progress, at the end of the six-month period.
