Learn how to cook exquisite local and international food using local produce as well as the best homegrown ingredients from our garden. Classes range from introductory demonstrations for beginners to intensive five-week-long professional courses, with a wide variety of hands-on classes for adults and children. Our expert instructor Chef Kunta will teach you to master any cooking technique with ease. You'll learn four dishes of starters, main course, and sides and desserts in each lesson, and learn to pick fresh ingredients for our MFK-Gardens Nursery. MFK signature curry puffs will be provided while you learn and master the ways of cooking. We are located at Ledumadumane on the fringe of the city and have stunning views and the cool of our nursery while you cook to your heart's desire. Chef Victor Kunta is the teacher of this wonderful course. Victor and his team will give you very hands-on experience during the time you'll spend with them. AIM: This course is aimed at those who are new to the kitchen or simply underconfident in their cooking abilities.
SCOPE: The course gives you tools to understand & enables you to go about preparing food that is simple to prepare yet full of flavour. The goal is to eventually become fully self-reliant and to offer The Studio participants an opportunity to harvest fresh herbs like lemongrass, chili, basil, and corriander.
TOPICS COVERED: Classes cover basic cooking techniques i.e. Roasting, Stir Frying, Grilling, and Sautéeing together with basic hygiene & basic table layout. All you need is interest and motivation to learn. The rest is easy!
TARGET: This course is suitable for cooking enthusiasts, housewives, housekeepers, would-be caterers, beginners or newly weds, students going away to university or as part of corporate team-building activities, etc.. ALL ARE WELCOME!
